In urban Brixton a feast of colours; raspberry citrus-mustard and blueberry jam were transposed into natural dye pastes and printed onto summer-soft European linen. Glide and Circuit are designed and hand printed by @ceres_naturaldyesprints Launched by @heals_furniture for their #ss21 range.

Glide and Circuit launched by Heal’s today. Designed by @flo_hawkins and myself in the heat of summer 2020; on trains, on picnics, and by the seaside. Inspired by crisscross train tracks, curves of Shropshire hills, modern architecture, and stripes of sun-dappled chair. Silk-screen printed by hand on Somerset paper in our studio in Brixton @ceres_naturaldyesprints #healsfurniture #ss21

An object that represents me. First session of MA in Academic Practice in art at Ual. Natural dye printed linen. A juxtaposition of knowledge. Preconceived about the colours that were printed, anticipated the colours to be revealed by the fixation process.

Love printing on calico. Twice washed, and then ironed damp, it makes a perfect print surface. My inner domestic goddess relegates ironing to a studio activity.
